Location and surroundings
Park Meadow lies on the north side of Old Hatfield village, sandwiched between the Great North Road and the boundary of the Hatfield House estate of which the land used for Park Meadow was formerly a part. (Just outside the front door of number 71 was once the cow paddock). The village, St Etheldreda’s Church and one extremity of Hatfield House all form part of the south-facing view from the upper floors of 71 Park Meadow.
A 3-4 minute’s walk across private land takes you to the _________ lodge of Hatfield House, directly across the road from Hatfield train station. From there, London Kings Cross / St Pancras can be reached in as little as 26 minutes. Cambridge is just over an hour away in the opposite direction.
Living in Park Meadow allows the occupants to join the Friends of Hatfield Park, giving you more or less year-round pedestrian access to the majority of the park and other benefits.
